How to Play

Getting Started

First Time: Enter your name once and the system will remember you automatically on future visits. Need to switch players? Just click "Change Player" at the top.

Game Format

Each gameweek features 6 carefully selected Championship matches, always including Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers. All fixtures are automatically updated each week - no manual updates needed!

Using Match Previews

Click the "🔍 Preview" button next to each match to see expert analysis, team news, betting odds, and form guides. This opens in a new tab so you can research before making your picks.

Confidence Scoring System

This is the key to winning! Your points are multiplied by your confidence level:

Perfect Score: 5 points × confidence level

Correct Winner (wrong score): 2 points × confidence level

Wrong Result: 0 points

Making Your Picks

Step 1: Enter the score you predict (e.g., 2-1)

Step 2: Select the winner (or Draw). The system auto-selects based on your score, but you can change it.

Step 3: Click a confidence box (1-6). Each level can only be used once! Used numbers will appear grayed out on other matches.

Confidence Strategy - IMPORTANT!

🚨 KEY RULE: Each confidence level (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) can only be used ONCE per gameweek!

Look for the "Confidence Levels Tracker" above the matches - it shows which numbers are still available. Used numbers appear grayed out on all other matches.

  • Level 6 (Most Confident): Your "banker" - the result you're most sure about
  • Levels 4-5: Strong picks where you feel confident
  • Levels 2-3: Moderate confidence picks
  • Level 1 (Least Confident): Your risky upset pick or toughest call

Deadlines & Timing

All deadlines are in UK Time and automatically calculated based on actual kick-off times. The deadline is typically 30 minutes before the first match starts.

  • 🟠 Normal: Shows deadline time in orange
  • 🔴 Urgent: Shows countdown in red when under 2 hours remain
  • 🔒 Locked: No picks allowed after deadline passes

Pro Tips

  • Research First: Use the Preview links to check team news, form, and head-to-head records
  • Save High Confidence: Use levels 5-6 only for your most certain picks
  • Embrace Risk: Use level 1 for upset predictions - if they hit, great bonus!
  • Don't Forget Draws: They count as correct results and often have good odds
  • Study Your Teams: Charlton and Blackburn appear every week - learn their patterns!
  • Submit Early: Don't wait until the last minute in case of technical issues
